Vette hardware?
Why do vettes have such long studs coming out of places like the rear seat anchors? These studs have a hex on the top to place a wrech to hold the stud to keep pressure off the stud while you lossend/tighten the main fastener? Why do they do this? Are vette studs really bad?
If you look around the car, you'll see that it very much has racing ambitions, for example:
1. race car style saddle fuel tanks
2. nose ducts easily open for brake cooling or air induction
3. flat bottom
4. easily removable panels...good for damaged panel repair or carbon fiber upgrades!
5. oil temp cover easily opens for oil cooler lines
6. extra boss on the front of the motor for accusump install
There's much more, but to answer your question, I'm pretty sure those studs are long so extra stuff can be clamped on....like a Hardbar seat bracket AND 5-point harness cross bar.
