im looking to get a exhuast soon for the vette - witch exhuast is the deepest/loudest - iv heard some and i dont like that raspy sound they make im just looking for a nice deep rumble - right now im leaning twards the borla stingers - any ideas?
A similar sounding exhaust is the GHL's. I have GHL bullet's and under idle it sounds deep/mean and old hot rodish. But under hard throttle it's kinda like nascar. haha. I really like it but to each his own. I'd suggest listening to exhaust's in person. Sound clips don't really do justice but here is a video of mine going from stock to open headers to GHL bullet's. Excuse the lame scrolling text at the bottom. I was learning Premiere.

As one of the people that has swapped exhausts a few times, I would have to ask what are the plans with the car? Are you going to leave it mostly stock? How much do you drive it, and what RPM's are you at? Or are you thinking about going the h/c/long tube route?
Borla Stingers, quad round.....very deep and mellow. Around town they are bad a$$. Not much louder than stock at highway cruising speed...only other perf. mod is intake.....Love mine!!!
GHL Bullets, IMHO, of course, but I just *may* be biased cuz that's wots on our car
Best option is to find a bunch of Vettes at a gathering and listen in person; ask 15 people, 15 different opinions (well, OK...maybe only 10 different opinions)

i plan on adding some 3;42's a tc with about a 3200 stall and maybe a 100 wet shot from tnt then getting it tuned and might add some lt's thats about all for now - its my daily driver soo i cant go to crazy with it so no heads cam type things-

I went from stock (too lame and ugly looking), to GHL Magnums (nice looking and sound good at idle, but too quiet at cruise), to B&B Bullets (best construction of the three...no clamps, everything bolts into place, with a nice rumble at idle and a nice rumble at cruise). With B&B Bullets you know that your driving a Corvette, and so does everyone else.
Just my opinion of course.
In the end, I would simply recommend that whatever system you decide upon is one that makes you personally happy.

If your staying away from the h/c I think you would probably like the Stingers. IMHO once you add the heads/cam/longtubes (ESP IN AUTO WITH GEARS) the Stingers reallly are too loud, and the sound isn't that clean. But for what your looking for, they should be great.
I'm in a similar situation, just bought my first vette and am looking for an exhaust system. Any guys have any opinions good or bad about Magnaflow. Can get a Magnaflow system and a really good cost but have yet to hear one in person. Not looking for obnoxiously loud. Looking for a nice low deep rumble at idle but one that will open up at WOT but at the same time not sound like a Nextel Cup car.
