3:15 to 3:42
I later installed a baby stall (2600) and that really woke it up---
IN hindsight i would have ditched the 3.42 change and gone with a bigger stall-- something in the 3000 to 3200 range
The biggest stall you can get with a STOCK diameter converter is about 2600--Thats why initially I chose a 2600 to keep the Stock diameter converter-----To get a higher stall--They make the diameter much smaller and it's a totally new item and NOT a reworked stock converter---
The small diameter conveters are known to create some new issues---
HEAT being the biggest--An aftermarket trans cooler is a MUST and not a cheapie tube and fin style but a stacked type( looks like a mini radiator) I used an 8x10
Also when going to a small diameter converter the clutch pak for the TCC is much weaker and smaller as well--They have been known to fail-
A large stall also requires some special tuning only accomplished with a full tuner--Mainly fasle misfires and false slipping codes
I installed a set of 3:42 gears and a Yank 2800 Stall a few years ago and love the combo.

I haven't found any dead spots. FYI, the downshift points can be set to your liking with a Trans tune.
edit: Mine is also a stock (12") diameter.
