Default Who did the LS1 manifold test?

A few months back one of the magazines published an article about a test they did to compare intake manifolds for the LSx engine. LS1, LS6, LS2 and the FAST intake.

Does anyone remember which magazine it was?

Well, that puzzles me because I definately remember the article making the comment that they expected to see lots of C6 owners looking for LS6 intake manifolds in the future.

If anyone come up with it please let me know.

Yo Tony, you bet your you know what I do. Pulls like a freight train.

One of my fellow club members at Xtreme Corvettes is looking to improve his intake system on a (guess what) 408 iron block stroker.

He was thinking of trying to get the LS2 product to work for him. I said "Forget about it." Now I am trying to show him why he should forget about it.

Hope you're doing well and I can't wait to see what you can do with an LS2 based stroker.

(pst... hey Tony... use the 225 heads)

For the money it appears that the LS6 with stock 78MM TB is the best setup for a modded street setup and has the best results in the powerban where you need it. Was considering the FAST with 90mm Nick Williams TB but I just can't justify the cost of the setup for what appears to be a few more ponies on the top end of the band. A bigger motor would do justice for it if that is something that is done.

It was Chevy High Performance. They had a burgandy ChevyII on the cover. They also followed up with cam and intake tests. This was late 2004 issues.

Thanks for the link. Maybe the next test will tell us at what cubic inch the larger intakes and TB take the lead, or not.

Tuning is required to maximise the benefit of any new setup.
