T/C plus Transgo shift kit-worth it?
I am considering upgrading my T/C and possible gears (I have the 3.15's now). When I do this should I get a shift kit as well?
Also any suggestions on T/C and gears will be welcome. I want a definate improvement over stock but not a beast that's unfit for daily driving. I know Yank is all the rage here but I have heard good things about the P.I. Vigilante from my local Tech.
Down the road I will also look at Heads and a cam so I want to be prepared for the future. If I do the gears I'll get the hardened output shaft and HD gears.
Definately worth installing. The shifts are much firmer. I upgraded my A4 last year, I went from 3.15's to 3.42's, SY3500 TC and Transgo. I used 2 shims for the shift kit, when you manually shift from 1 to 2 you chirp the tires.

Hey Target, looks like you are west coast. I have a qoute from DTE for 3.90's Yank SY3300 & PCM programming. I'm leaning towards this as my setup with the only exception being possibly 3.73 gears instead. Right now 3.73 are not available. I've heard good things about the above combo but can't say for sure until the work is done.
