headlight switch malfunction...loose wire?

headlight switch malfunction...loose wire?
as the title says, my headlights are malfunctioning and will stay up all the time. if i turn the **** PAST the "off" setting, then they will momentarily drop down, but go back up shortly thereafter. is there any way to fix to this in a small amount of time?

It sounds like you might have a gear going. Is it both, or just one that does it? If it's both you probably have a problem with the switch as you mentioned....have you tried just cycling the switch and maybe hit it with a spritz of contact cleaner?

Can you just clarify this for me now... I think I'm having the same issue.
The switch on the turn signal stalk that should turn lights on and off wasn't working and your solution was to soak some iso-propanol on the end of the stalk? Or spritz some contact cleaner into the gap between the turning end and the rest of the stalk...?
