Well after jerking around for 1 month bidding on and looking at used exhaust systems, I ordered a corsa system at a great price from West Coast Corvettes. My question is , is there anything special i need to know when i install them? i plan on cutting off the old system and tossing it. I think i read somewhere about some bolts in the frame being of particular importance. any help or tips are appreciated.
thanks in advance.

As long as you're cutting off the stock system, you can do the install on ramps with no problem. The only bolts on the body are the ones that hold the rubber mount in the rear. Very small but you need a long extension to get to them. It's possible to install the mufflers without removing them but I found it easier to take them off. other than that, it's just a matter of bolting the over axial pipes to the H pipe and lining up the tips before you tighten the 4 Torca clamps. Use a torque wrench when you do it. Good luck. - C.

Be sure to follow Corsa's advice regarding the anti-seize compound on the threaded fasteners. Also, several of us have had a little difficulty with their pipe clamps not gripping quite as tightly as they should, so the post by Mike04 regarding the spot welds is a good one. I did this too and all is well. One other little thing: smear some high temp silicone on both side of the flange gaskets for the over-axle pipes. Prevents any possible minor leaking. HTH

Corsa (and many other manufacturers) sell an X-pipe to compliment their exhaust systems. I have the Corsa Pace Car cat back system on my car and initially installed it WITHOUT the X-pipe. Thus keeping the stock "H" pipe. The exhaust sounded horrible in my opinion. A gurgling sound during idling and all kinds of popping and cracking on decelreation. Way too much for me. Many others feel the same way although there are others that seem to like this sound.
The X-pipe will equal out the exhaust flow and make the sound much nicer. Of course this is all a mater of personal opinion & taste.
Just keep in mind that when you install your Corsa's, if you do not like the gurgling sound and all that popping under deceleration, the X-pipe will get rid of it.
The X-pipe made my exhaust perfect. I hated it before the X.
Here's what it looks like.

Thanks for the heads up!
does the anti sieze compound come with the system? where is high temp silicone found?

1. Yes. Corsa includes a small tube.
2. Auto parts stores. Be sure it is the High-Temp variety type; either reddish brown or silver in color depending on brand

You will find that the longest part of the procedure is getting the tips to line up!
I have Corsa Indys and love them!
I, also, found the clamps didn't hold to begin with. I noticed one set of tips dropped a little, re-aligned without lossening the clamp and re-torqued. Had to do this a couple of times, and now they've remained aligned for the last 4 years.
