Vert rear window

Vert rear window
Has anyone had a problem with the rear window bonding coming loose?????? rear window hangs on the velcros. Any fix outside of replacement????? It's a 98 Vert

I had the same trouble with mine. It was starting to come loose on the top right side. I talked to auto restorer and he told me that they use
Goop Automotive. They sell it at ACE hardware I think it was like $4.99 for a tube. Put it on mine and it worked great. If you don't have an ACE close just go to Goops web site (eclectic products) phone #1 800-767-4667 and they list where to buy it. Good luck.

Use 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive. It has a peel strenth of 35lbs/in and will secure your window like new. Make sure to remove the old seal strip between your window and top fabric material on your car prior to using the adhesive. You want to bond the window directly to the top fabric material.

No doubt these guys have good tips...they are news to me. But the concensus on this forum in the past was that once the window came loose it was time for a new top.
Certainly give these things a shot first and report back. I never get the rear glass as clean as I'd like because I'm afraid to push on it too hard for all the stories I've heard of the window coming out.
