hello all....after doing some research on the grinding noise i hear while turning at low speeds ....most solutions are diff oil change. My question is do i need to use any aditive with royal purple max gear 75w90 oil??
New to this board and just got my vette ,,,,99 a4 coupe and tring to work out some little bugs it has.
window noise rattling and stickky drivers seatbelt that wont pull out sometimes.
besides that i love this car
Thanks to all
Grinding??? Hmm... Usually I hear about popping from the front end when the wheel is cranked to the max, or the rear tires skipping while turning... For the diff, I recommend adding the oil first, doing some figure-8's, and adding additive until the skipping goes away. Keep in mind that if you add too much additive, you'll get skipping from the other side of the axle. One of the members explains this better than I can in the sticky (link in sig) towards the bottom of thread.

The Royal Purple Max Gear 75W90 already has the additive. I have it in my rear (that doesn't sound right) and there is no noise when making tight turns.
