I've tried for the better part of an hour to do a search on this topic and I know it exists somewhere, but the search function is about as powerful as a 68 VW Beetle.
I want to get new plugs and wires but would like to know what people recommend. In all of my other cars I've just gone and bought Bosch Plat. But before I go and follow bad habits I thought I'd ask for advice.

Just to help us understand maybe a Pro will chime in... I read that the regular copper plugs give better perf than the irradiums. Irradiums give longer life....but regular copper plugs are the *BEST*, better than Platinum or irradium.......IF you want the perf. Though you'll have to change them every 30K miles or so..
I'm not saying all this, but I read all this some where. Is this a FACT? This plugs issue has been going on for a long time, without any real solid facts yet. Seems like everyone gives a thumbs up to the one they personally use. --Oh and then we have to deal with its gap, and who knows what's the perfect gap... Plz do share your input
Irridiums do not produce as much spark but do last longer.
I say stick with the copper NGK TR55's. Put them in numerous cars, including my own, and they work perfect.
Taylor's 10+mm wires are overkill in my book. I have done a back to back dyno test between stock, MSD, and Taylors. There was no dyno gain in any of them. The stock coils and plugs are definetly efficiant for stock motors.
It is a good idea to change wires if you are adding more air/fuel to the engine, but Taylors are definetly overkill to me.
NGK tr55 & MSD 8.5 should do you well i gap them at 55 and change them every 20k or gap them at 60 and change a lil sooner. copper plugs make a bigger fater spark = more power crisper responce. plat plugs produce a crapy lil spark but hey they last for 80k - 100k!! lol good for your moms car i guess?
you need to place a smiley after that.... or people might get the wrong idea. We're all here to help each other; and we all have different needs/wants/goals.
