I have a '99 and I need help to reset the computer. It keeps telling me to service the tire monitor system. I think the dealer may have ruined my sensor in my passenger front tire. Is there a way I can stop the message from coming up? I check my tire pressure about once a week and it's fine. Thanks for any help. Annette

If he broke it, make him fix it. Then it will go away.

No, unfortunately for your model year there is no way to disable the tire pressure monitoring system. You will continue to get error messages until you fix the problem.

You can only turn it off in '01 and newer. Won't work in '97-'00. It This update to the BCM was rolled out when the Z06's were introduced in '01. As they don't run the TPM system but use the same BCM, the option to de-activate was needed.
hmmmm I have been told by several people they could turn mine off with Tech 2.....oh well...mine is only intermittent anyway which is funny since I don't have TPS it didnt even come on for 90 days after I took them out

I guess that's why whenever we name our cars, we always give them female names. Finicky, illogical, inpredicatble, and defying explanation. Sometimes signals get lost or mis-understood.
Hope the weather is good over there. Its looking great here, so Yvette & I are heading out!
