lead warning on battery tender?

lead warning on battery tender?
I just bought a battery tender from Autozone for my 2000 coupe. When I was getting ready to install it I noticed in the instructions it had a statement that said "handling of cords or any accessorie associated with this product will expose you to lead which is know in the state of Californina to cause Cancer." Do all battery chargers/tenders have this statement? I just thought it was a strange thing for the battery tender to have lead. I could see the warning on the battery perhaps. Could it be just the brand that I bought? Thanks for you input.
