Default restoring a camshaft

hello i just bought a custom grind from thunder racing but i am not gonna install it until i have all of myother parts in hand just wandering if anyone could give me some knowldge on how to keep it from rusting ?Maybe a big ziplock bag & some 20w 50 motor oil i dont know if the ziplock is gonna be big enough any info on this is very much appreciated thank you

It would be safe to coat it with cam lube.

I agree, and then wrap it in Saran wrap (plastic food wrap) it will keep out air/moisture
