Vararam 1B VS 2B

Vararam 1B VS 2B
Is the only difference in the 1B an 2B the air filter? I am not sure which unit I have. I got the unit from a guy who had no idea what he had. The instructions say VR-1B. I don't what to use the filer if it is a 1B. Does anybody know what to K&N part number is?

K&N part number link above. There seems to be several different types of filters from Vararam and yes the 1B vs. 2B filters are different. Check out the Vararam web site.

Below is the response I got from VR techs concerning the difference in 1B and 2B
Ducting is more efficient and fit is better. The unit is also 1/8th of
an inch smaller overall.
For racing only-the HP+
For the street- The Baja

I thought the difference was in the latching mechanism!
I have a 1B and it has two little bars that you Squeeze together with a bolt to achieve a seal.It must have been an early model.
I saw on subsequent models they have a latching mechanism(doh!)
This was just an assumption on my part,but I'll bet if you have my type..it's a 1B
