Yup, the whole SuperMaxx system is stainless. And for what it's worth, everything is included (all gaskets and extensions and bolts) and their packing is second to none!
Kook's use mild steel after the cats.
Just remember, all of the headers mention on this thread are great. It comes down to preference and price more then performance. All are within a few ponies on any givin day.
LG's are the best, and ONLY true long tube on the market that I've seen. The SS quality is great, and they are about a foot longer (before the primaries) than the others that I've seen, and that helps keep torque across the board (in addition to the HP that they all build)
(adding fuel to header war #516...)
Realistically, you can't go wrong with any of the top SS LT systems out there (Kooks, LGs, Dynatechs, ...).
I have done a bunch of research today. Right now the SuperMaxx system is looking pretty good. It'd be nice if the TByrne GP went through but I don't know if I want to wait that long.
SuperMaxx are stainless? I thought that they were mild steel. Is the whole system stainless?
Got the Dynatech S.S.'s with cats on mine about a month ago. Very nice build quality, fit, & finish. Big power increase w/ Blackwing, & Magnaflow exhaust, tuning by Vinci-Crane programer.Everything was in the package, no need to buy anything else.TByrne is having a group purchase sale NOW. That's where I got mine for $1220 shipped. Are the LGM headers worth $400 / 500 more? Just my .02 cents.
I suggest that you call several tuners that specialize in super chargers, such as Andy @ A&A and others known to this forum.
These tuners should know which set up is best suited to specific blowers/head/cam combos, etc.
