I am currently TRYING to swap my slave. I cannot figure out how to disconnect the line running off the right side next to the bleeder. Are there any how to's out there on this? I thought I saw one the other day, but the search is not working for me. Thanks for the help
You mean that damn quick disconnect? I had trouble with this too. You have to use a flat screw driver and push the white plastic outer ring in as far as it will go (approx just shy of 1/4"). Once I did this, I used some vice grips to pull the two pieces apart. It is a royal pain in the ***, it hung me up for a few hours so I feel your pain, but once you get it off you will see how it is attached.

Try one of the quick disconnect tools that are used for fuel lines, etc. One of the larger sizes (5/8" maybe?) may work OK. There are multiple "barbs" or fingers preventing the disconnect until they are flattened by inserting the tool. HTH

Do any of you know if the newer slave is supposed to have a rubber o ring on it. It appears my old one(off a 97) has this rubber washer/o-ring type thing on it, but my new one doesn't. This is my first time doing this so I am not to familiar. Thanks
If you have a "Tool Guy" in your area he will have the tool on his truck. I got mine from the MAC tool truck. It is shaped on the end as a... lets say 3/4 circle. Possibly. Then it is a flat piece of metal. A special tool it is.
hers a hyperlink to some site that has a whole kit. you by no meens need the whole thing. but it would give you an idea what to look for.
Its the silver one to your top right, between the long black one and the long red one. at the end.
Hope it helps you out. It takes only a min when you got the right stuff man. Good luck. http://www.thegrillstoreandmore.com/...ics/25115b.jpg

Wait till you try and put it back together. Royal PITA.
Make sure its lined up then use a large pair of channel locks. Squeeze real hard, make sure you check it after.
Yeah dont waste your time with the tool. I got one and it didnt even fit. I modified the tool with my grinder, it fit but still didnt work, so I couldnt return the damn thing cause I had grinded material off.
