Default window motor/regulator not working

I need instructions on how to remove the electric motor/regulator. I have removed the door panel. I can see three bolts that hold the motor and I see four bolts that hold the regulator. I believe the cable is the cause of my problem. Can I only replace the cable or do I have to replace the whole assembly?

You have to replace the whole assembly.

You need to remove the 3 bolts for the motor and 4 bolts for the two tracks. Then remove the whole assembly from the door. At this point you can purchase a whole new assembly about $300 from the dealer or find one one ebay about $150. I choose to trouble shoot the assembly. I took the cap off the end of the motor. 4 screws then pull off. I check the motor it looked new. My car is 5 years old. I put a small tab of grease on the end of the motor shaft and put the cap back on. Take plate of regulator assembly, can't remember number of screws. Remove the plastic pulley. Now you have the motor only. I put the motor back in the door to see if it was good and sure enough it was fine. Check the tracks and make sure they are clean and the part that holds the window slides up and down freely. I used wd40 to lube the tracks. I believe that mine froze on the tracks due to non use. Now the hard part reassembling the regulator. I used a lot of grease on the pulley. Set the two window holders to the middle of the tracks then wrap the plastic pulley with equal amounts of cable and install back onto gear. This takes some time. My passenger windows now works better and is quieter then the drivers side. Best part I saved a few hundred dollars, which came in handy for my heads and cam combo I just purchased.
