Default LS2 H/C fit an LS1?

Want to do a H/C package. I don't want to get too wild.
Will an LS2 H/C fit my LS1?
How about an LS7 H/C?
I've heard a lot of good things about 21 Century in the Dallas area.
Any suggestions?

LS2 heads are LS6 heads, so yes, they will fit. You're better off mating them with the LS6 intake manifold as most people are losing power with the LS2 manifold on a 346 ci bottom end.

LS2 heads are 01 Z06 heads. I don't recall the cam specs off-hand. If you're going to do a heads / cam package there are much better packages on the market.

It's the 01 ZO6 cam with .525 lift. The LS2 heads are actually LS6 heads minus the sodium filled valves.

I would definatly step up to the 2002-2004 LS6 cam if you are going to do this, as well.

Like everyone said, the LS2 parts aren't really an upgrade over what's been available via LS6. The LS7 heads will be a big improvement, but the intake port volume is too big to put on a mild street 5.7 liter.

For a mild setup, you'll want a nice set of ported (CNC or hand ported) heads with intake ports around 205-210cc's, and a cam similar to the LS6 or slightly bigger.
