My 98 corvette has 5-6 amp draw. And my drivers seat is broken but only the part you sit on the front of the seat is all the way up and the rest works. I am tall and my knee hits the dash when I sit in the car and the seat won't go down.
My problem is I have a good friend who runs a local shop who fixes most of my cars. He used to work at the chevy dealership also for many years. But has ran his own shop for the last 10 years. Is this job above him. He does not ever really work on C5's. It might take him forever to figure out? But are the guys at the local Chevy Dealership any better? I live in Central Wisconsin in a town of 38,000 so my options are a bit limited.
Ake him if he has any idea what could be causing the problem. If he doesnt give you some options that sound like he knows what he is talking about then find someone else. How do you know what amount of current is being drawn from the battery? Does it do when the car is off only? Sounds like you have a short in one of your systems.
watch the drain as you pull fuses - this will allow you to narrow down where the drain is coming from. I have seen posts on seats and the radio causing large draws.
reach under drivers seat and disconnect weather pack connector, draw will most likely all but disappear. the six way switch is most likely the culprit.

your problems are not C5 or even Corvette specific so if your friend is a decent mechanic he should be able to figure it out.
