Default 3-way Magnetic Ride Control

My '99 is acting up. Suspension is alot more harsh, less forgiving, I can FEEL every bump in the road. I took it in to a mechanic and we put it on a lift and Everything looks ok.? My computer has no error codes and there are no loose parts that my mechanic or myself could find under the car. Has any else experienced this or heard of this, I'm hoping its a quick fix but I can't identify the problem

PLEASE HELP !!!!!

I have an '03 with magnetic ride cntrl. It has two settings. Can you explain the 3 way? Did you install this on your '99? More info would be helpful.

My ride control is a factory installed option, i'm not sure but I heard people calling it either F45 or F55 I don't know which is correct. I have 3 settings on my console selector, 1-Tour_Which is the most comfortable, 2-Sport_less comfortable but better peformance, 3-Perf (which is "Performance" but I guess it was too long to put on the selector) this is the least comfortable setting but yeilds the best handeling.

You have the F45 suspension. The F55 Magnetic ride control suspension was first offered in 2003 and has 2 settings. Can't help with your problem tho.

This article talks about the various forms of ride control and how they've evolved through the years. Interesting reading ... Sounds like you might be stuck in the stiffest setting.

thank you for the interesting article, however, my ride control is still working correctly. the handeling and ride changes with the switch. the problem occurs in ALL settings, the car no longer glides over bumps, you can feel everything in the road. It almost feels like it is loose( like some bolt is not connected properly) but this is not the case. Everything is connected and VERY tight, no loose bolts.
I am stumped. One day my suspension just Felt different and has ever since.

what tires are u running?
did this happen recently? the weather is getting warmer now..check your tire pressures..
i had a slight increase over the past few weeks.
didnt notice any different handling on my c5 coupe. just noticed a 2-4lb increase in pressures..cold pressures.
just a possibility...good luck.

The F45 shocks can be rebuilt by Bilstein in Poway,Ca.If it feels like there is no damping and you feel every little pothole--the shocks are bad.Cheaper to install Z06 shocks and fool the computer with resistors placed in the electrical connection that are attached to F45 shocks.

Check tire pressures, or replace shocks.
