Recently sold a 2000 Convertible(18,000 miles) with an automatic transmission. Today I bought a 2003 convertible with an automatic transmission(7600 miles).
The transmission on the 2000 had a crisp shift as it went through the "gears" almost a slam feel.
The 2003 has a much more soft shift pattern. Is this an adjustable item through the computer system or do I need to do some transmisssion modifications?
The 2000 sounds like it might of had some type of computer tune. But yes you can get your shift points changed through your pcm. Just make sure you let someone who knows what they are doing handle it.

You can also adjust your shift points up or down through the PCM if you think that is needed.
My '98 had a superchips tune loaded when I bought it. I have the tuner in case I want to go back to stock. The shift from first to second is so crisp, it chirps the tires when I get into it. It may be a bit too crisp and I may go back to stock firmness. I guess I went the long way around your question...yep, can be tuned through the computer!
