Transmission started grinding need help.
I went to the track tonight and now everytime I try to put the car in 3rd it grinds. It will even grind if I am at a stop and try to place the car in 3rd gear. What do you think could be causing this a synchro?

if you are saying it grinds when you put it in gear then yes I would say the synchro is shot...bad news...new synchro is very very very cheap.....damn labor is a mutherfer

My only piece of advice here is if they have it apart and anything else looks suspect...change it now....

Probably synchros. Mine did the exact same thing. Tried the synth ATF and it didnt help. So when my slave cylinder died, I pulled apart the tranny myself and replaced the synchros. Now all good!
