Does the valentine still work or have power? If so, the hot wire to the lighter may have come loose.
My lighter has stopped working at times also. The connection design behind the trim is not a very good one in my opinion. I've had to get behind there twice and wiggle the connection to make mine work.
valentine still works as it powers up when i use the lighter underneath the climate control unit. must be a bad connection behind the armrest lighter. (shocking)
It can take out more than one fuse when it goes. I thought it'd just be the #7, but I think last time it took out both my #2 and #7, and my center console lighter wouldn't work until I replaced both. If you need a pic of the fuse box, there's a pic in my pictures.
If it's not the fuse, it's easy to get to the back of the aux. power source to check the connection. Here's a link, if you need it, that will get you access to the connection. http://www.vetteessentials.com/instr.../tc_strip.html
