I bought some runflats from the tire rack, and now no one wants to install them since I got them through the mail.Where in the fort lauderdale area can I get someone good to install them? I was thinking of taking it to the dealer to see what they say,but I'm sure they might not like that I didnt buy them from them either.
Tires Plus.....just make sure they have the machine to do 18's....Tire Kingdom also.....oh yeah call a couple different locations...they vary on price significantly even within the chain...
Tirerack, has a nation wide dealer network which will install your tires. It is on their site. http://www.tirerack.com/installer/index.jsp I would have had the tires shipped directly to the installer! Works great I have done it!

I bought tires from the tire rack to go away from GY. I had GY on my other 4 cars. My local dealer said sure they would mount the tire.. that is until I brought the car and tires. They saw it wasn't GY and said, "I can only install GY tires" I guess they don't do flat repairs for any one other that GY.. So I called the Pres of our Vet club,, found a dealer. Now they get not only the vet but the others as well.
Ummmmh ,, would almost make good business to install the SZ50's on the Vet to get the other 4 cars,, but they were..
Simple fix, next time. For best customer service buy from a good local dealer. I just couldn't go to a shop with brand new tires and ask them to install something they sell but, didn't buy from them. Mail order = higher install prices, lower quality service, slower repair times and more hassel. If you can install any part yourself, go for it but, if not support local business and your community.
I purchased tires from tire rack, had them shipped to one of their recommended installers, tires installed, no problem. Installation cost was high but total price was low. Tire rack has all sorts of information to enable your to compare tires. Best thing to happen in the tire business.

Local Dealer,, $2400+ installed
Tire Rack w/local Dealer installed. ~$1350 + buying tires from local dealer for 4 other cars.
Now if the Local Dealer could be even close to the TR price.. But almost $1000 difference makes buying them from Local Dealer difficult.
Before my next replacement I will check local dealers to see how close the price is. I am willing to pay some difference,, but not $1000.
I even spoke to the local dealer about our club buying tires from them and they would not budge on pricing.
"And That's the Way it was".. (Walter Cronkite) for those old enough to remember.
