Default Checking the Trans Fluid in an Automatic

Need to settle a bet...
How do you check the trans fluid in an A4? (or do you?)
Is there a dip stick? Where?
We have 6spd cars...
THANKS

No dipstick. Get accustomed to crawling under the car with it running. If you have a lift (or access to one), it is much easier to check. This article pretty much explains it.

Also, get used to doing it QUICK, before the temperature climbs above the range. Takes a &*$% long time for the tranny fluid to cool for another go at it.....and ya got to get the level "dead on," or you'll have shifting issues!!

You should check it when it's level, like when it's on a lift.

Actually, there is a dipstick. It is called your finger!

I could not believe it when I first went hunting on how to measure the level.
