Check engine light- got codes, now what?
I noticed that I had my check engine light on a short trip to town.('04 MN6 vert, 12K or so miles, stock replacement K+N,X pipe, PRTs). All guages looked normal, car ran fine, 1/2 tank of gas, filled up last week. I got home and followed these instuctions from a post by 3vettes@home.:hold the "options" button down while pressing the fuel button 4 times, when DIC goes into Manual diagnostics, scroll down by pressing guages button, then press RESET to clear each code (you should write them down first)
I did all that and found 2 codes- 10PCM had PO327 H C and BO-RFA had U 1064 H. I cleared them and they didn't come back while idling in the garage. But now I notice that the check engine light does not come on after I remove the key, reinsert it and turn it on acc or run. True to my sig. I know just enough to be dangerous. What is going on? Thanks, Tom
The PO327 is a knock sensor and the 1064 is loss of comm. with BCM. I'd take it out for a 10-15 min. ride and see if everything clears itself, or if codes pop up again.

Just came back from a short blast. Everything is fine now, no codes and the check engine light only comes on when you first put the key in. This forum sure beats a trip to the dealer. Thanks again Randy. Tom
