If I put a set of wheels & tires on my '04 and do not install the pressure sensors in the new wheels, will I run any codes? Anything else I need to be aware of by doing this? The new tires are not runflats.

You will start to throw a code to check TPM system. On your model-year, you can turn off the system via a Tech II programmer. The question is: particularly if you are running non-runflats, why would you want to either turn the system off or not install the sensors. Seems to me it could help you avoid some pain and suffering.
As I remember, the roads in La. can be quite brutal. You should use the TPS if you are running non runflats. May help prevent an ugly incident. Removing the TPS from your OEM wheels are not difficult. Just break the bead on the side of the monitor and remove the retaining nut. Good luck and I hope this helps.
I plan to keep my stock wheels/tires/sensors together so I can swap wheels back and forth. Don't really want to spend another $200+ on new sensors.... oh well.
