Default Getting codes after LT header install

I am looking for some advice on codes I am getting after having had a set of Dynatech Supermaxx LT headers installed. I am getting the following Heated Oxygen Sensor codes:
P0135 Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0141 Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0155 Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1
P0161 Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2

These codes came on after around 50 miles. Can anyone suggest why I am getting these? The sensors seem installed correctly, with right side going to the right sensor, and left side going to the left. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

hey doc, i will ttt this thread for you. Have you tried clearly the DIC of the codes first. My computer also threw the P0141 code after the dynatech install along with a check engine light, despite the fact that the car was running perfectly. Have you tried clearly the DIC of the codes first and seeing if they return? I cleared mine and they never returned. Apparently, there may be a problem with the cats not heating up fast enough, which generates some codes although there is no problem. Someone else can chime in here. Are you going for a tune as well? A tuner will be able to edit out your codes.

Default Getting codes after LT header install

I also had codes after a LT header install altho I had lean and ultimately rich conditions after my install. i've heard of others having
to use different O2 sensors in their installations to get the appropriate
level of temperature condition due to the O2 sensors being located further away than the stock location. Just another thought.

I would however HIGHLY recommend a tune with a reputable tuner. After my header install I picked up 20 RWHP and 22 RWTQ along with a huge fuel mileage improvement and a cooler running setup overall.

Good Luck,
TJ

Happens a lot with hi-flow cats. Clear the codes 3 times and they usually go away.

Thanks everyone. I have in fact cleared the codes, but I did not do it three times. I didn't realize that did anything special, but I will give it a try and see what happens. The car runs fine as far as I can tell...its just the codes I have cited are causing the Check Engine light to come on.

Also, a dynotune and LS1 edit were next on my long-term to do list, but I didn't realize I could pick up 20 HP from that alone. If that is the case, and it might help with the code problem as well, I guess I will have to get the tune done sooner rather than later. Thanks.

No codes here with mine. Tune helped MPG and made even more low end torq. Good luck and IMO, tune it. Thanks!
