On my 1999, when I turn on the headlights using the switch, only the headlights come on. All of the exterior lights are out as well as the interior lights that illuminate when the headlights are on. Does anybody have any ideas of what could be wrong. When I use the twilight sentinel, the lights were fine.
I've been having the same issue. The first "click" should turn on the "running" lights, tail lights, dash lights, and fog lights. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Different weather conditions seem to affect it. If it sit there and futz with the light switch enough, they'll eventually come on. I think it's the control "stalk".
I'm trying to figure out how hard it is to get off the steering column, in hopes that i can take it apart and see if there are dirty contacts inside. I think a new control stalk costs around $250? Plus labor to R&R.
I'm open to any other suggestions though? It's become quite frustrating, and dangerous at night.
