what psi for drag radials?

Default what psi for drag radials?

going to famosa this saturday and I just got nitto 18 frag radials and was wondering what you guys think is the best psi to launch and at what rpm? I have a m6 and kooks kong tubes with a blacwing currenty.

Start at 20 and work your way down to 14 if necessary, in 2 psi increments. Keep lowering till there is no or very little spin at launch. If you are still spinning at 14psi I would suggest lowering your RPM at launch, or getting bigger tires, or maybe E/T Streets.

Start higher. Maybe 25 PSI and work down. More PSI=less rolling resistance=lower ET and higher trap speed. A lot depends on the condition of the track. Your goal is to run as much PSI as you can without spinning.

I agree, but would start around 16-18. Don't see the point in starting over 20 psi. You wanna hook don't you.Keep in mind tire pressure is one thing but more importantly these tires need heat to perform. Nitto drag radials are like street tires unless you get them really hot with huge burnout.
