Sound Deadeding Material

Has anyone remover theirs?

How much louder did it make the car?

Did it shed a lot of weight?

When you removed it was it junk, or could you put it back in?

Is it something a shade tree mechanic could do?

Remove sound deadening material? There's been a lot of posts and a couple tech tips about adding additional sound deadening material to make the C5 quieter. Materials

vary from Lowes Frost King to Dynamat.

There is little material in the vette to block sound.

Its seems to me any gain would be negligble compared to the tradeoff. you might gain what? a 1/10th in the quarter? I mean there could not be more than a 100 pounds of it in the car. Just my opinion.
