After market head unit
I have in dash dvd player that I would like to install. I know bose sound systems could be a real pain in the rear to upgrade. Any of you gurus have done this before? What do I need to do if I want to keep the factory speakers but replace the head unit? If possible.

You'll need an adapter. I got one from soundgate and plan on installing it this weekend (I can let you know how it goes). They say you can use just a standard adapter but because the bose system has amplifiers at the speakers you will loose the 8" woofers in the doors. The soundgate is suppose to get you around this. It runs about 100 bucks and the instructions are decent. For a faceplate check with vrumvrum, his can't be beat.
