I was thinking about this as my first mods! It makes sense to me that you would want a kit that is tuned to work together, but I trust ya'll opinion/experience a lot more!
my car was cone by slp in toms river nj in 02.(they only do R&D here now) that was before they had the zl6/7 logos. it has ss long tube headers, hi flow cats, maf sensor, donaldson blackwing, and x pipe. Stock z06 mufflers, it dynoed at 368rwhp/367rwtq at east coast superchargers. i've headr that they're a quality set up, just a real bitch to install. i love the sound, and to date no problems at 19000+ miles. I think you don't hear about them much here because they're not a supporting vendor. They used to set up firebird/camaros authorized by GM. A friend of mine works for them in toms river and they're working on a 600hp GTO set up. I think they are very good quality/performance/dependability. IMHO-- good luck
While I don't have one of the SLP kits, I have most of the components. The Donaldson Blackwing was the first mod I did. Then I added the SLP Loudmouth exhaust. Six months later, I added the SLP tuned length headers and x-pipe. I also have the SLP timing chain set.
The entire exhaust has over 40,000 miles on it and it still looks/works/sounds great.
