Default A Couple Ideas

Grounding issues present a number of wild occurences. Yours is about the right age to start exhibiting them. See the following thread and do a search on Bill Curlee if you want to find other electrical issue posts. He's the expert here.

C-5 Grounding Issues

Were the wires and plugs just replaced? Sound like one or more of the wires may be loose (coil or plug). The smell of gas indicates that fuel's not being burned, symptom of a misfire. You could also have a defective plug, or a cracked insulator that occured during installation (plug number 7, the one at the back, driver's side, is a real pain to get in and out). Run the car at idle briefly and start pulling plugs. The offending plug should be wet from unburned fuel; will smell strongly of fuel if not wet. This will be a start to finding the offending plug and then determine whether the wire or the plug is defective.

First, though, check all the plug wires and make sure they're properly seated.....pull them off the plugs and coils and plug them back in to make sure they "click." Good luck.

Thank you for your reply.

SO insulator is good. Please, can you tell me how much may have ignition wires resistance and how can I check ignition coil, how much may have ignition coils resistance??? My trouble is ever time when is engine in normal operation temperature . When is cold everything is O.K.
So what can i do???

trace the wires from the coils and injectors back. Look for any cracks or frayed wires.

Also the driver display will typically always show about 0.5-0.8 volts dc less than that at the battery, because of extra connections and what not. Lower voltage at operating temps is typical because of heat/hysterisis losses. Trying another alternator or a rebuilt is also an option if the car has alot of miles.

YEP,...all this is good, I also had a situation,.. where I had a friend help me install some hedders, all was done then I started to get a misfire and codes so I went to the "forum" and found out that the codes were from misfire Issues" I couldn't figure it out so I went to the dealer they found out I had 4 broken plugs Hairline cracks so I replaced with a whole set of plugs and reset codes with my hyper-tech now "Its all good"

Good points. I run, typically, 13.2 to 13.8V when at operating temperature. When car is running, you read alternator volts. Alternator could put out less voltage when warmed up because of losses from heat, but only if it's getting worn out. Battery could have a cell going bad which would put a drain on the alternator. The battery will show its weaknesses more as it warms up, but it will take longer to warm up due to its location.

As far as the misfire, the plugs can look perfect and still be defective. If you use the new NGK IX's (Iridium), the plugs require less power to fire and are therefore less likely to create problems (i.e., misfire). If you use a multi-ground type plug, you may run into problems because I understand they take more power to fire.

What type of plugs and wires are you using?
