Water pump for 427's???????????
I question the cost effectiveness of the Evans mechanical with their $25 fluid (3 required), and $20 precleaner (atleast 1 to 3 jugs), verses the Mezziere electric waterpump. Why would The Evans be suggested by Darton over the other when you free up hp with an electric? Also, with both exceding $500, wouldn't it just be cheaper to install an oil cooler? I'm exploring my options, and need some direction with my 427 money pit adventure!!!!!!!!!! Thanks David

I'm running a BeCool radiator and Meziere pump, and both my oil and water temps are good during 20 minute track sessions in 80F weather. After 8-9 laps of Road Atlanta, using a 6000 rpm shift point for my C5R 427 engine, my oil temp remains under 250F and the water never exceeds 200F.
