Default explain to me 6.0L iron block

I have a LS1 02 but I need a short block. Can someone tell me the difference from a 6.0L iron block with a Lunati 408 stroker.
If I put my already CNC heads and a 224/228 cam will this set up be a good daily driver?

thanks
Dave

The Iron block is the truck block. It has several key areas of reinforcement that will hold up better than the alum. block. The obvious difference is weight on the nose of your car. But with the extra cubes with the 408, unless you are on a road coarse, you won't know the difference. My $.02

A 408 is 4.0 stroke and 4.030 bore. I think the cam is on the small size, but you would have a very strong torque motor. The 6.0 liter block lets you bore a bit to 4.030 for 408. 4.040 for 410, 4.060 for 414, 4.080 for 418. Bigger cubes without the big expense of a sleeved block. What are the specs on your heads?
