The A/C on my 98 doesn't seem to work. When I push the button for A/C, it flickers, then goes out. What could do this?
Also, the display is going badly on it (as does many I hear), so I can't see what MODE I'm in. (This is the first time I try to use the A/C on it since I own it... the last owner said he just charged it up before selling it to me).
I'd like to know to. My Light flickers and the owners manual is no help. I got the system recharged, maybe the compressor is leaking. I know one thing, I've got no cold air.
Had this problem last summer...for one if the previous owner had it charged up..it maybe over charged. With 134A I hear you not suppose to charge the unit to a full cap. leave room for expansion or it won't cool as well or not at all. The other problem with the unstable control head on the dash and if the outside temp reading is incorrect it could be a simple outside temp.sensor gone bad. To check this out remove the wire from it and it will default back to a setting that allows the A/C to run. Or it could be the BIG one; the control unit has to be replaced. (That was my problem along with the ign. switch having a bad section causing other problems. Well that is my .02{
