Default Electrical Harness Pictures

Wondering if anyone could email or post a few pictures of how the front wiring is routed along the frame on the passenger side near the radiator on a 2001 Coupe. Specifically, I’m trying to correctly route the main wiring harness which has the connections for the headlights, turnsignals, driving lamps, the horn and the ambient air temp sensor and air pump on the passenger side radiator shroud.

On the passenger side, I know the main wiring harness (about 1" thick) comes from the battery/fuse box, runs along the frame up and over the Pass side shock mount and it follows the frame to just behind the radiator fans. The main wiring harness is attached to the Pass side frame slightly behind the radiator cooling fans. At that point, the harness splits into a “Y,” and one “side” of the “Y” goes around the fans for fan and abs, etc connections - this "arm" of the "Y" is held onto the fan shroud in a couple places by push-pin types of wire holders.

I’m confused about the other “arm” of the “Y” at this point. Does it go up and over the frame kind of right behind the Pass side upper radiator mount, or does it go down inside the frame and then between the frame and the radiator? Or, is it somehow strung between the radiator, A/C condenser and tranny lines and then to the horn area?

It seems that if I route mine “up and over” the frame on the Pass side behind the top radiator support, that the horn and ambient temp sensor connections are not long enough. However, I haven’t been able to figure out a “clean” route for running the wires between the frame and the radiator/tranny/A/C lines. There also doesn’t appear to be enough room between the right hand edge of the radiator and the passenger side inner frame to route the wire harness between the radiator and frame.

If anyone could post pictures, or take time to write a detailed description of the routing of these wires, I’d GREATLY appreciate it. Or, if someone wants to email or pm me a phone number and a good time to call, I’d appreciate being able to call them - you could look at your car, I’d look at mine, and we could trace the wire routing over the phone - MY DIME, your time.

Thanks MUCH for any assistance!!

Bill.

Thanks, I'm eagerly awaiting info. I tried looking on ebay at some underhood pictures, and it doesn't appear to me like the "arm" of the "Y" that I'm questioning goes up and over the frame rail, but pictures aren't really clear.

Please give me as many details as possible.

At the radiator, one part goes along the fan shroud (as you stated), the other part goes almost straight down, between the lower radiator hose and the frame rail. Looking up from underneath, the harness then bends toward the outside of the car, then heads forward, and passes between the black square-tube "curb-over-run protect" frame and the side of the plastic panel that has the brake cooling duct tube. I will send you a picture, taken from underneath.
