Are the exhaust manifolds for the Z06 designed to flow better than the stock LS1 manifolds? Would they make any difference on a lightly modded 03 C5 coupe (blackwing, airbridge and Corsa exhaust). I also have the Z06 H pipe that does not have the pre-cats in front of the main converters. Will be welding in an "X" section into the H pipe.

I could be wrong but I think the 03 LS1 has the same exhaust manifolds as an LS6 ZO6, if not I would suggest going with a good set of shorty headers. BBK make's a real nice set, good price and easy to install because they bolt right up to your stock H pipe.
I doubt if there is a difference between the manifolds. Even if there is there won't be a noticeable difference in performance. Do it right the first time install LT headers if you want to do exhaust mods on your engine. Don't waste your time with shorty's.
Same cast iron tri-Y manifold on all C5's from 01 and up. All 97-99 were stainless manifolds of a poor flowing design. 2000 had a change from stainless to cast iron tri-Y sometime during the year. The Bigger the better is not always true. Depending on you application and budget, short tubes will suffice, especially for pre 01's. Long tubes will get the most out of a modified engine but I do have a friend that got no HP gain but a ton of torque with Kook's LTs on his LS6 modified LS1. Go figure. - C.
