Smokey Clutch
Went to the track on Friday with my 02 Z06. First time for drag radials on this car. 461 HP to the rears under 3,000 miles and have only raced this car a total of 10 times down the track. My clutch was smoking each time I tried to do a burn-out (of course I went through the water box first). I believe the clutch was slipping on each shift. Never had a problem with the clutch before this. Seemed to drive fine around the track grounds (under 40 MPH). ran four times getting a best 11.84 @119.85. I trailered the car to and from. Any body have a simular problem and have the clutch live to run again? Thanks for any input.

Interested in any thoughts. Was at the Drag strip (here in Illinois) yesterday as well. My first time with Drag Radials too and had the same problems, but was able to drive home with no issues. Only difference is mine has 50K on it.
