Default 3.42 now or wait for stall.(long wait)

One is if it will take awhile(A LONG WHILE) to talk the wife into the stall, should i even put in the 3.42 i have laying in my garage and do the stall later.I realize ill save labor but will i be happy with 3.42 only?Have any of you only done 3.42rear?And tell me details on how it felt different.

Second is i will have a dyno tune shortly but my temps are a bit high so would swapping out the thermo now without changing fan temps change anything. Please dont go into why not to do a lower temp thermo as i have read up and feel for me,in the summer it would be a good choice. Thanks

I assume you have a coupe or vert. I have a Z06 and it comes with 3.42's. Personally I think you'd be better off going to 3.90's or 4.10's.

Wouldn't it make more sense to do a shift kit and a Dyno tune with edit program ? I get great low end starts with just a doing a tuner and downshifting on the low speeds. I think the shift kit is going to help me get quicker response when shifting.

I would through the 3.42's in before your tune that way your shift points will be changed with the tune. See how you like it for a while then if you feel the need go for the converter. Also putting in a lower thermostat will only help lower the temp on the freeways because air is moving through the radiator. It won't help on city driving until you get your tune and the temp that the fans kick on is lowered. Then it will help everywhere. So yeah it will help but not in city driving
