Bill,
Since you are the resident Electrics expert, I was wondering if there was an easy way to get those pins into the rearview mirror for the hardwire radar detector mod. I used the pins from a Radio Shack 9-pin plug, but just shoving them into the appropriate (Orange, Brown) holes beside the wires doesnt allow them to grab. The pins go all the way into the holes, but come out with just a light pull. Since the pin goes completely into the hole there isn't anything to really push on. Really don't like the prospect of splicing to the wires outside of the plug...Space is limited and a screw up would be a problem.
Any ideas?

You may need to find a thicker pin, my pins on my quick connect cord grab pretty hard and actually will stay in supporting the full weight of radar detectors, as those with the bad mirror mounts can attest to.
