I am looking at replacing my clutch and no longer want to go with the mcleod twin disc that i now have in the car. I will be getting it redone from mcleod and will most likely sell it and the master cylinder..I am wondering what is the best clutch for the price out the right now? I have heard that the spec clutches are hit and miss so are the exedy ones..Any input is appreciated. I will also be taking offers and the twin disc assembley with light flywheel and mcleod master..
The latest Cartek clutch is what I'll be installing in my car in a couple of weeks. Its a good unit for the price and holds up well. I'm pushing around 450 RWHP and have the Z06 clutch presently with about 50 drag passes on it and its starting to go south on me.
i was at a local clutch shop today to see what my options could be. The guy there suggeted i bring him my stock z06 clutch assembly and he could modify it with sintered iron pucks making much greater holding capability. He will leave the pressure plate stock and make my 4 or 6 puck disc.
