Default [Gatorback belt. #s] Will these work?

Poly-V Belts
4040420 Poly-V, w/AC
4060798 Poly-V, Alt & PS

I'm going to change both belts in efforts to kill a squeal, but I have an ASP Underdrive Pulley purchased from MTI. Will these belts work?

I can't really compare my current AC belt because I tore it off in a rage after it started squeling again. Bizarre, replaced the belt the 1st time and the squeal went away. Came back a few hundred miles later, cut the belt off and it kept squealing... Wonder why the first belt change would cure the problem if removing it seems to indicate it may be one of the tensioners or pulleys

Either way, I'd like to try these two belts anyhow, and will go from there.

My only question is there a difference between the 0802 and 0798? Because nobody had the 0802 part around here. Found the AC belt easy. The 0802 is listed for all 02.

Functional Part Number Gives You The Size Of The Belt

4 06 049 5

1st digit (4) represents a K section Poly V-belt.

2nd and 3rd digit gives the number of ribs.

4th, 5th, and 6th digit are the length in inches.

7th digit is tenth of an inch.

Part number 4060495 would be a K section Poly-V belt, six ribs wide, with a length of 49 and 5/10 inches.

Nice

Got the 4040420 on, seems not quite as tight as the Dayco that was on there, but it doesn't seem loose enough to be an issue.

Slight addendum. I ended up going back and getting a 41.2in belt for the AC system and 04060775 was the correct belt for the drive system. Still frickin squeaks. Arg.

Isolated it to the drive system, now to change the tensioner and the idler. Anybody know what those part numbers are, or if I can get them from an auto zone or murrays?
