I have 3.90s & TC (Its an A4) and know that the engine revs higher because of the gears...
My question is: at 2K rpms and at 3K rpms (80 mph) the engine revs fine and the cabin noise is fine...BUT at 2500 rpms (approx 70 mph) AND ONLY at 2500 rpms the engine revs much higher and is much louder in the cabin. It seems like its in the wrong gear (but what do I know) and when I push it to 80+ MPH at 3K rpms its much better AND quieter!
