OK, got to ask a dumb question...how do you drain the radiator in a C5? Can't find one of those turn valves anywhere on the bottom of the radiator.....
Thanks....
Thanks, is there something about having to bleed the air out of the system as or after you refill? I have a Cool-Flex chrome upper hose I want to put on but, starting to change my mind.

Yes. After refilling with coolant you need to run the engine for a while after the thermostat opens with the surge tank cap off to bleed air.
My drain plug was on the bottom of the right side of the radiator and was white with a phillips type slots in it. I used a phillips screwdriver and it only turned about 1/2 turn to open. I removed the cap. My engine was warm with the thermostat open. 11 qts. drained out of a 12 qt system. The coolant looked new (61K miles) and no trash in the coolant. I just closed the plug after draining,, and refilled. I measured 11 qts going back and the overflow tank is probably a little over full. I thought I would have to bleed it,, but It would not and has not needed any more coolant. That was about 2K miles ago. 99 Nassau Blue
