You can get 345's in there with a minitub without cutting the suspension. If you want bigger tires than that I assume you want to go way big for racing or something. In that case it would probably be easier and cheaper to throw in a narrowed solid real axle jmo.
I would guess that cutting an IRS would really screw up the suspension geometry. Anything is possible with enough $$$

I wanted to go to a deep dish wheel custom made instead of offsetting it in,I saw some custom show cars ,not c5 that had done this and the deep wheels look awesome,they had gotten diff halfshafts
