My memory setting works only if I had the car locked.

If you get out of the car then get back in without locking the doors the seat will stay back. Try locking the door them unlock them. Then put the key in.

It also will reset after a certain amount of time. I forget how long it takes.

I've developed a habit of hitting the unlock botton on my fob as I approach the car whether its locked or not. The memory works every time if you do that.

For some reason the easy exit doesn't work on mine. If I bump the unlock button it works but when I turn the car off and take the key out the seat stays in the same position. I hate electronics.

The memory fuctions will not work if you put the key in the ignition with the driver door open

You will have to push the memory button on the door. Took me awhile to figure that one out. I don't think locking or unlocking has any thing to do with it.
