Default typical problems.. 1 question?

Front blinker went out.
Fixed with help from the forum. (thanks everyone)

Steering column lock.
Fixed with help from the forum. (new battery, thanks again)

Now yesterday I got the old oil pressure reading 120 +.
I see from the many threads that this happens all the time and I'm wondering if I have to fix it right away or can I leave it for a month or 2 and save more $$ for tires....

funny side not: called the local corvette shop for a quote on sensor replacement and he immediatly said "what year is your C5"?

Buy the sensor and fix it now yourself. Oil pressure is something you should always be able to monitor because, without it, the engine is toast in no time. It should only take you a couple of hours using the posted tech tip and the sensor itself is cheap.

Default thanks patches

I just don't feel comfortable taking the manifold off. I'm a newbie DIYer and it looks like I'm gonna need a torque wrench.

I agree it needs to be addressed right away, but it looks like this happens a lot and some members appear to be getting fed up and just leaving it...
