hey guys
well, found out i have a pin hole leak in my cooler line. its an easy fix, but im wondering, when i pull the line, how much fluid will come out of the line. is it going to be like 2 qts worth or like 10 qts worth???

how is the system pressurized? im clueless...

the system isn't pressurized so you shouldn't have much coming out aside from what is in the line but it depends i would still have a drain pan ready cause your still going to have a bit come out a few qt's at least but not 10 qts.

Specs say transmission fluid capacity is 3.5 qts. I changed the fluid last weekend, and it took almost 3.5 qts.

Coast7: 3.5 qts??? thats it??? mine take 12 qts!!! i have a 4L65E though, so perhaps thats the reason...

1968Olds: thanks for the tip.

i plan on plugging the ends of the two lines as soon as i pull it off, as i want to reduce the amount of fluid to come out so i don't have to refill. from what i have experienced before, its a PITA to fill tranny fluid!

thanks again guys...now i can rest peacefully tonight! LOL
